For use on fine knits.This needle is a modified version of an 16x257 needle specifically for sewing thin knit fabrics. It has a slender, straight blade with a long tapered Thin Ball Point and a a revised profile around the eye. The longer taper of the needle point reduces the penetration resistance in fabrics to minimize needle holes. The profile around the eye is reduced to avoid the extra penetration resistance the normal bulge causes. Size 12. 10 needles per package. Can be used in certain industrial sewing, embroidery and overlock machines with corresponding needle system. Alternate needle system: Alternate System Numbers: 1738, 16X231, 16x257
